Retirement age

The legal retirement age is 65 for men and 64 for women. In the absence of a prior agreement, the employment contract will not be automatically terminated upon reaching this age. The employee may, if he or she wishes, continue to work.

Pension

When the employee reaches retirement age, he/she will start receiving his/her AHV pension. If the employee continues to work, he/she will receive a salary on which he/she must continue to pay certain social contributions.
