Following an argument with his employer, the employee returns his keys and suddenly leaves the company. Does this behavior constitute abandonment of post?
When an employee abruptly leaves his workstation without just cause, he may, depending on the circumstances, be guilty of abandonment of employment. The employer cannot, however, hold it against the employee under any circumstances.
